Mac Lensers is the joint adventure of two guys who met and befriended through a common interest, photography, both on the technical and artistic aspects of it.

It is not necessary to possess the latest cameras and best lenses to create beautiful images. Photography has been around for almost 200 years, and stunning images were created well before multilayer coatings, low dispersion glasses or high resolution digital sensors. It was just the photographer, perfect knowledge of his/her camera, and a trained eye.

Based on the above observation, we think that the latest gear is not better, or more useful than beautifully built vintage gear. That gear was not made to become obsolete, contrary to todays, it was built to produce great images and last. We want to show you that it is easy to do good photography on a budget and to afford great gear. Consider the following, latest cameras have zillions of pixels, this and that automatic function, but is it really what the photography amateur needs? What about technique, lightening, shadows, composition, exploiting your gear at 200%, that’s something you don’t see in commercials.

We want to help you to choose the right gear for you, how to service it, and even repair it when needed.

Servicing and repairing your photo gear has also ecology in mind, lenses and cameras are made to last almost indefinitely, let them better be in your bag than in a landfill or underwater polluting somewhere. Moreover, vintage gear is very often easy to service.
